The Origin
It Started With An Idea For a Run, Until The Words Became Real
This isn't a charity, It's not a race brand. It's the story of what happens when you decide that the hardest things you do, don’t have to be just for you.
Dylan was listening to a podcast from Chad Wright, an X navy seal. Who now lives his life doing hard things and explaining how we can overcome anything by not letting our pain have a voice. The words came from Chad taping “For Those Who Can’t” on his treadmill so if he ever wanted to give up, he was doing it for more then just him. Dylan thought these were very powerful words and decided to talk to the family about it
The Story
The Idea
The Creation
Dylan wanted these shirts ready to go for a local Backyard Ultra we had booked in Port Elgin, luckily Mom actually took action, made up a design and got the shirts made up with 2 days to spare. Dylan, Korson, Uncle Mike and Cousin Brooklyn all ran that Backyard Ultra and the shirts started some amazing conversation
The Accident
We got news Dylan had fallen out of a tree and fractured a vertebrae, I (Korson) was on a trip in Ecuador and got a text from Dylan showing he was in a hospital bed with a black eye and a neck brace. He ended up fracturing his C3 vertabrae and was in for a long slow recovery with a race booked 1 week out
I (Korson) got the text to see if i wanted to race, luckily enough the race was on the day I would land back in Canada, so I said of course I would run. Now I was not trained up, last I ran was maybe 2 weeks ago and got attacked by a dog down south, but to run for my brother I was up for the challenge. My flight landed home in the morning so I had the afternoon to relax and sleep because this was a night race luckily. I met up with my cousin who was also running the race, put the shirt on and I think I ran the best I’ve ever run, I did get lost and ran an extra 5km but again the shirts started all the conversation and I got to run the race for my brother. This is the day I decided we have to make this real, I am not the only one who has a family member, a loved one who you can do hard things for, or maybe it’s yourself.
Words Became Real
The brand today is now starting to build community in Walkerton Ontario with the
Run-er Walk Club throughout the summer of 2026 and we are organizing our first annual Backyard Ultra because the original Ultra we ran with the shirts couldnt organize this year. We are so excited to continue to support those who can’t and whoever that may be for you! We are all about growth in life, working towards becoming 1% better every single day and if we can do it with a community of people it makes that much easier!
Today
Everyone all over the world, in every city, every language, every terrain is doing hard things and naming them for someone who can't. We want the shirt and the words to be visible at a race all around the world. A walker in Newfoundland who never told anyone the name on her chest. A kid in his garage lifting weights for someone he lost too young. People just getting 1% better everyday doing it for themselves or a loved one. Life is about giving back and this is how we want to help you give back to you, your loved ones and for the people who can’t
The Vision
The mission
Not a charity. A movement.
For Those Who Can't is a community of people who show up for themselves, each other and those who can’t through life and activity — runs, walks, hikes, gym sessions, early mornings, long days.
We believe the hardest things In life move us the furthest ahead, and if we can do the hard things together to ensure keep moving ahead we can all grow together, a lot of the harder things we do in life dont have to just be for us. And when you name them — when you decide this one is for someone specific — something changes.
That's the whole idea. We just built a community around it.
Growth
We all want to become our best selves, lets do it together keeping each other accountable and growing in every life aspect!
Health
We all want to become Healthier and it all starts with being active, getting the sun on our skin, feet on the ground and being around the right people!
Happy
We all deserve to be happy and it starts with being around people who bring out the best in your and see new things, experience new things and grow into your best self!
